Excerpt from Chapter 10:

Now that you’re familiar with the Five Pillars of Trustworthiness (5Cs), it’s time to act and begin training to build greater trustworthiness and greater trust with two key relationships.

In the top row, enter today’s date, your name, and the names of two people who are important to you: one in your professional life and one in your personal life. They don’t have to be the most important, just two relationships that you’d like to improve or deepen.

Column 1 contains a list of the 5Cs and their associated phrases.

Column 2 contains exercises to help build our trust muscles. For each of the 5Cs of Trustworthiness, write down one specific action you could take this week to improve in each area. Don’t make it too hard for your first time. We’re making a new habit. Make it easily do-able and then build on your success in the weeks ahead.

Columns 3 and 4 provide space for you to name concrete actions you will take to build trust in these key relationships. Write down one specific action you can take this week in each of the 5Cs to communicate to the two people you listed that you are trustworthy.
